El Retiro Scouting Visit - July 2018

Similar to our El Estribo visit, El Retiro also wasn't a surprise, because we were made aware.  Again, you see Josue and a church pastor in the picture, overlooking the bare foundation of their building.  Just like El Estribo, I have not heard that they had made any progress on the remainder of the building shell, so there's not much we'll be able to do for them yet.

Interesting point of note - their church building butts right up, but doesn't touch the adjacent building.  This is a common building practice in the region, with businesses as well as homes sometimes agreeing to share a structural wall.  One condition, however, is that your roof is not allowed to spill anything onto the neighboring property.  In this case that means this church building roof is require to lean to the east.
