Atalaya 2019 - Roof Tearoff

And so, we had to do a roof tearoff, first.  Since most of the projects we do are new build, this was an unusual task to schedule and manage.  Obviously the only way to handle it was to get a volunteer workforce on it immediately, and also work in parallel on the truss layout and assembly.  What you see below in the first picture is all of the sheeting down, and about half the old trusses.  You'll also notice we started hanging, flipping and mounting new trusses before the tearoff was complete.  Given that our schedules aren't open-ended, we definitely had to keep moving at every opportunity.

The next picture shows about half the old sheeting removed.  It's too bad that old sheeting didn't hold up better, because it was secured down with screws, which made it very difficult to remove.

The last picture is scrap in the courtyard - much of which was reclaimed later for filling gaps between the rafters, as well as fascia boards.
